Hello, and welcome back to my blog! This week marked my first full week of retirement, and I am happy to say it has been a productive and valuable time so far.
Over the weekend, Vivian and I had the pleasure of spending time with our dear friends Gus and Debbie Metz near Rolla. We took a day trip to Meramec Springs and enjoyed the beautiful Ozark scenery. We also had fun four-wheeling, playing many board games, and indulging in some delicious pizza at Andy's. Sunday morning we attended church together before heading back home. It was wonderful catching up on the last twenty years and making new memories.
The week has also been marked by our son Branden's return to Kansas City after many years in Utah. It's great to have him back home, and it was fun helping him move into his own place...with a great view of the Fed no less!
Aside from spending time with family and friends, I have been keeping myself busy with various projects around the house, in the yard, and at church. The weather has been nice for biking, and I have been enjoying outdoor rides instead of being stuck indoors.
Retirement has definitely been a big change for me, but I am embracing this new chapter in my life. We're eagerly awaiting our missionary call and assignment, and I'm excited to see what new adventures and experiences await us in the meantime. I look forward to sharing them with you all through this blog.
Thank you for reading, and please feel free to leave any comments or thoughts below.
