No Need for a Welfare Check: Foleys are Still Going Strong

It has been a couple weeks since we have written, but there is no need to fear. We are going great and staying very busy. I will do a short update post today with some pictures. Look for something else soon from Vivian and then from some of our recent guests.

Since last we wrote and Heather posted on their visit, a lot has happened! Here's a quick Top 5:

1. Week of Zone and Senior Missionary Conference

We had a very inspiring conference in Kuala Lumpur (KL) with our mission leaders, senior couples, and all of our junior missionaries (in two waves). We finally met all the seniors in the mission and loved getting to know them better through visiting, service to the young missionaries, and some sightseeing. It was our first time really getting out and about in KL and we enjoyed it a lot.

2. Singapore Stake Conference

Back home we had a wonderful Stake Conference weekend under the direction of our Stake Presidency. The meeting speakers were inspiring and the music was beautiful. We were especially proud of some of our Young Single Adults who spoke, prayed, and sang in powerful ways.

3. Institute Returns!

I finally had the chance to teach this term! After missing the first two weeks of the term for travel and having amazing substitutes, I was back on the 18th to teach about John Taylor. We had a great group there and I am inspired by the things I learn as the teacher. This week we are learning about Wilford Woodruff, and it will be nice having Vivian as his 3GG granddaughter share some thoughts.

4. Singapore YSA Ward Prayer

Our sister missionaries proposed this to the ward council a few weeks ago, and we're seeing more and more participation each week. It's very much a BYU thing to do, though via Zoom instead of in person in the dorm common room. It's nice to have a casual time for people to see each other, and a chance for a ward member to pray on behalf of everyone.

5. Visits by Emily, Whitney, and Sage

Having these visitors has been a very wonderful and busy part of our last few days and deserves a lot more sharing! I'll just say that we have been very blessed that they were willing to take the time and money to travel so far to visit. Enjoy sine pictures for now with more to come!
